What happens when people put their real legit phone number (that they also use for their banks) in plain text on any website forum/post?

If you are reading this, and you have posted ur number in plain text. For your own good, find them and either remove or edit to something similar to this → 4O5 five6I llsix3 (Call this number for help).

Notice how the [zero in between the 4&5 is actually a capitol “o”→”O” and then the [56one] is actually a capitol “i”→”I”, and a few other tricks were done.

Reasoning behind is… → BOTs 🤖 aka programes/scripts & software are “CRAWLING” websites and COLLECTING data 24/7 non stop and never need to rest and or sleep.

The data is later processed and some if not a lot is sent to scammers, (because another scammer/hacker made the bots and sell the data on the dark web).

Once the information is compiled and processed people start getting text messages from legit numbers asking to verify a code or click on an legitimate link, and or other sort of scenarios in attempt to either gather information or at least use your legit things to their advantage.

One of the many ways to avoid text msg based scams is by NOT putting your phone number in PLAIN text!
